Perhaps this device would be more correctly termed a gramaphone.

An advertisement by Morris Bros Ltd of 762 Hay Street Perth and 106 High Street Fremantle for the Humanphone Model A in either light or dark oak. It had a Garrard motor with a "silent wind". The Humanphone was said to be made in Perth.
